3 Prints from this series were selected and exhibited as part of the 2018 UAL x Olympus Photography Award in Bermondsey Project Space.
This series plays with the idea of performance and pin-up. Self-portraits taken by the artist are reworked into collages that blur and confuse an already exaggerated portrayal of self. This series was a way to rethink the practices of photographers like Bunny Yeager in a contemporary context. The manipulation of her own image, by Yeager and here by Haynes, raises questions around ideas of objectification, performance and agency.
